Many individuals around the world have second citizenship because they have dealings in more than one country. However, there are many individuals without second citizenship that really need it, but they dont understand why they need it. Fortunately, that ends right now because the reasons are here.

Here are reasons for obtaining citizenship in another country:

- If youre renewing your passport more than every ten years, then you need that citizenship.

- Having a passport that could be renounced by the current government at any time. This is something you dont want.

- Maybe the current status of your passport is preventing you from being able to succeed financially.

- Your home government may be taxing your international income. When you are a citizen of more than one country, your home country cant tax your international earnings. This saves money.

- Travel restrictions can be relieved if you have any.

- You may want to provide your family with some sort of insurance that will protect them against bad situations.

Whats interesting is that a lot of Americans are realizing and applying for dual citizenship. They do this so that the government cant tax their international income at high rates. Some individuals have even gone as far as renouncing their citizenship to avoid tax penalties.

Unfortunately of all of the developed countries, the United States is the only one that taxes its citizens on their worldwide income.

But it is fair to mention that dual citizenship is sought by people all over the world. Poor individuals from many countries look to obtain U.S. citizenship for a better opportunity. Wealthier individuals do it as well. Europeans and residents of other countries also have their own reasons why they want to leave their home country and live in another. Those reasons may be personal or economical. Some just like a little change.

But there are those individuals around the world who do not know that this is an option that is open to them. If they realized it, there would be more individuals living in countries other than their own. Fortunately, it is catching on. People are realizing tax incentives and the many other rights that they are able to take advantage of. Technically, these dual citizens have more rights than the average person.

So get that second passport so that you can have the second citizenship that you want in the country that you want. Youll be happy you did.
